There’s no secret about it. Success comes from technique, failure from stressing uselessly.
You recognize that you have a trouble when you are trying to get someplace but have no clear idea of how to continue. When you know how to continue and probably don’t relish the probability, you are facing a task, not a problem. Welcome the issue – it is a chance to be creative.
2. State Desired destination
Notify yourself about what you are hoping to accomplish. Focus on desired result without stressing about technique of getting there.
3. State Beginning Point
Remind yourself about where you’re starting from. – The status quo. In particular, emphasize yourself why the status quo is not acceptable.
4. Collect Data
At this level it is hard to know perfectly what data will be relevant. Collect, or make sure you know how to gain availability to, all the data that you might require. You are unlikely to use it all but that doesn’t matter.
Hunches are in effect untried solutions. Most hunches will be fruitless, but you should make your self open to hunches and not decline them before testing them.
6. Falsify your Hunches.
Each and every hunch or idea has an infinite set of repercussions, so you cannot predict every result. It is therefore rationally difficult to prove an idea to be completely valid. However a single terrible consequence refutes a theory. This is why you should test to prove false.
