Since charities deal with such a broad range of missions we’ve found it beneficial to break them down into the 6 distinct types of charities.  Most of these can then be broken down additional into subgroups to help you find they particular type of charity you are looking for.
Animal Related Charities
Who doesn’t love animals? Well, these groups may all love animals but they don’t all love each other. This specific type of charity can be broken down additional into four unique groups.

2. Pet and Animal Welfare Organizations
3. Hunting & Fishing Conservation Groups
4. Zoos and Aquariums
 
Environmental Charities
Environmental Charities concentrate on ways to encourage preservation, gratitude, and sustainable growth for the environment. The two main subgroups for this type of charity are:
1. Environmental Conservation & Protection
2. Parks and Nature Centers
